Jón Lárusson

Jón is the main owner and CEO of the company Normand ehf which is an Icelandic LLC and registered owner of commodities4all.com and related sites.

Born in 1965, he has a BA in history from the University of Iceland and in August 2007 passed the Series 3 test and is now a registered CTA with the NFA. He entered the Icelandic banking world in 1985, when he began working for Landsbanki Íslands. Having worked in various banks, he changed focus and began a carrier as a police officer in 1995, working from 1998 as a Detective Inspector with the Commissioner of the Reykjavik Police, investigating financial crimes and fraud. In 2000 he was promoted to Detective Chief Inspector with the National Commissioner of the Icelandic Police, Economic Crime Branch.

From 2001, he has been studying commodities and commodities trading and in 2005 he began working on commodities full time. Since then he has worked towards becoming a CTA, with the vision of supplying the service he himself found missing when he began researching commodities and commodities trading in 2001.

His investigative and academic background has supported him in his analysis of the commodities markets, where he uses his investigative insight and academic research techniques to analyse the markets.
